James Edwin “Smiley” “Dean” Davis, 66, of Decatur, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2022.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Condon and Leota Miller Davis, sisters: Joann Davis, nephew: James Keith Lindsey.

He is survived by his sister: Mary Carolyn Davis Lindsey, nieces: Connie L. Hinch, Sheila Lindsey, great nieces: Chelsie (Lester III) Cole, Mattie (Gabe) Scarbrough, great-great niece: Rula Cole.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, Sept. 26, at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Rev. Earl Graves officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery.

The family will receive from 1-3 p.m. prior to the service.
