Doug Daugherty, Sr.
George Communications welcomes Doug Daugherty, Sr. and will be expanding its services with this new addition. Mr. Daugherty comes with over 30 years of experience in nonprofit management, consulting, and fundraising. George Communications will now be able to offer strategic planning, board development, and fundraising consulting to name a few.
“Doug Daugherty is certainly well known in the Tennessee Valley, and I have worked with him for years,” said Kimberly George Race, president of George Communications. “I am thrilled to expand our services by incorporating Doug’s expertise.”
With nearly five decades creating, developing, and leading organizations and networks, Mr. Daugherty has both the insight and experience to help the non-profit organization move forward, said officials. Over the years he has started, or helped start, many organizations, including Choices, First Things First, The Chattanooga Resource Foundation, and, most recently, Hamilton Flourishing.
Mr. Daugherty has been involved in fundraising, board development, strategic planning, communications strategy and the nuts and bolts of operations of non-profits. He has an BA in Philosophy, a MA in Leadership, and a MA in Communications. He is a published author. He is married to Sally, and they have six children and nine grandchildren.
