Donald Ray Williams, born May 1, 1947 went home to be with the Lord on June 1, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.

Don also known as Donnie or Unc was preceded in death by his parents, Clint and Lois Williams.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanette; his daughter, Tammy “Tanya” and her fiancé’ Wayne; and his brothers and sisters-in-law, Lee and Arnetta, Jerry and Donna, Tim and Linda. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Ty and Mandi, Amber and Kevin, Jeremy and Courtney and his special niece and nephew Julia and Chase Carter who he considered to be his grandchildren. Don also left behind many special friends and his loving dog Ella.

Donnie was a father to many, spending weekends with his family on the lake, teaching them to fish, creating a passion in them for the beauty of God's nature. He never missed his great-nephews high school fishing tournaments and was boat captain for several tournaments.

To others that considered him a father and friend, he showed strength, compassion and love, always willing to lend a hand or a shoulder to cry on. For those he left behind, he is irreplaceable. He loved his wife and family dearly. He loved family get togethers and celebrated 58 years of marriage to his beloved bride. He loved to travel, loved the mountains, and was always ready for a new adventure.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, June 4, at 3 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral with Bro. Mark Purdy officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 5-8 p.m.

Burial will follow the service at Serenity Hills Cemetery, Chatsworth, Ga.
