Chattanooga volleyball inked a new addition to the team’s 2025 roster on Wednesday, with incoming freshman Jordin Glass officially committing to join the Mocs, head coach Julie Torbett Thomas announced.
Glass has been a dominant force for Davidson Day School in North Carolina over the past four years, having been a four-time All-Conference and three-time All-State selection for the Patriots. Standing at five-foot-ten, Glass serves as a middle blocker.
“Jordin is a dynamic athlete and very versatile,” Torbett Thomas said.
“She always has a smile on her face. She was a standout soccer player as well as a football coach’s daughter, so I know she is prepared for the rigors of college athletics.
“We are very excited to have her join our family in the fall.”
Glass wraps up her time at Davidson Day School with a career record of 93-20 (.823) over her four years playing varsity volleyball. String together 20+ win seasons in every year with the team, Glass helped guide the Patriots to back-to-back North Carolina state titles in 2023 and 2024, alongside state runner-up finished in 2021 and 2022.
A two-time Conference MVP during her junior and senior seasons, Glass has been dominant for the Patriots as in the last two seasons alone, the youngster has amassed a grand total of 568 kills, 150 blocks and 131 service aces.
Away from the volleyball court, Glass is also a star for Davidson’s soccer team, having received All-Conference recognition during her junior season. A member of National Honor Society, Glass’ impressive resume continues in the classroom, with Glass receiving a spot on the Head Master’s List for her studies.
The daughter of Joe, Catherine and Holly Glass, Jordin was born March 28, 2007 and is a native to Denver, North Carolina. Glass has two older sisters, Jayda and Jaelyn, and her eldest sister Jayda played a total of five years of collegiate basketball: three years at North Greenville and two at Lenoir-Rhyne. Catherine played four years of collegiate volleyball at Lenoir-Rhyne and is a recent inductee into the school’s Hall of Fame.
