The community is invited to meet visitors from the Jewish Federation of Greater Chattanooga’s partnership region of Hadera-Eiron. They will speak at a community dinner on Tuesday, Feb. 25. Beginning with a meal at 5:30 p.m., speakers Noga Hila Motana and Amit Yagur will speak about life in Israel following Oct. 7, 2023.
The event will take place at the Jewish Cultural Center, 5461 North Terrace Road. The cost is $15 per person by registering at www.jewishchattanooga.com.
About the speakers:
Noga Hila Motana is an author and family consultant.
Since Oct. 7, 2003 she has written a children’s book that has tools for families to deal with the reality of uncertainty. She represents the perspective of a family in reserve duty, highlighting the feminine viewpoint and the experience of children on the day of the call-up. She will talk about her book and represents thousands of families in Israel.
Amit Yagur is the cofounder of EDTECH, a start-up company which has created a tool to change the perspective of learning on screen. He is a lieutenant colonel (Reserves), who served for nearly four months as the community officer for the Gaza border communities, acting as the official representative of the state in their interactions. At the same time, he supported his wife (the former head of the Pardes Hanna-Karkur Council) in her war-related efforts and in managing the complex situation of a town at war.
