Former Mocs Participate In NFL Pro Day

  • Friday, March 21, 2025
The Chattanooga Mocs saw eight alums take the next step in their professional journey in front of NFL scouts at the annual Pro Day. The morning was filled with activity beginning in the Wolford Family Strength & Conditioning Center before transitioning to Scrappy Moore Field.

All the drills were covered from jumps, weights, speed and agility. The Wonderlic Test started the proceedings with it ending in positional drills led by Mocs coaches with input from the scouts.

The group in play:
QB Chase Artopoeus
LB Kameron Brown
WR Chris Houston
LB Kobe Joseph
DB Reuben Lowery III
DT Marlon Taylor
DT E.J.
Thomas
DT Quay Wiggles

"It's a full circle process," Reuben Lowery III shared afterwards. "When I started out in getting to Chattanooga, I came to a camp that was similar to a pro day, and that's where I earned my scholarship and got a chance to meet Coach Wright. And you know, you go through that whole program; it prepares you for these moments.

"Now I'm back on the same field, doing the same drills just for a different level. It's a really good time. I enjoy training for it, and I'm blessed I got the chance."

The sidelines were packed with family, agents and most importantly, teammates. The underclassmen were out in force to support the above octet while envisioning their futures. Much like the guys in competition today.

"It basically shows we're a family," Quay Wiggles added. "We always support one another. We support our brother in whatever they do. It just shows how much we all want success for each other as one team."

The NFL Draft is April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wisc. The Mocs currently have three on NFL rosters:
OL Cole Strange, New England Patriots
OL McClendon Curtis, Arizona Cardinals
OL Corey Levin, Tennessee Titans

Four more – DT Devonnsha Maxwell (D.C.), DE Isaiah Mack (St. Louis), DE Vantrel McMillian (Michigan)  & OL Griffin McDowell (Arlington) – are on UFL rosters with LB Austin Collier (San Antonio) in the IFL.LB Jay Person (Winnipeg) and DB Clay Fields III (Ottawa) are on the ledger in the CFL with Artopoeus on Winnipeg’s fall negotiation list giving the Blue Bombers exclusive CFL rights to the signal caller.
