M. Mory Karimian, Registered Representative, Signator Investors, Inc., broker dealer of John Hancock Life Insurance Company, has earned the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) professional designation from The American College, Bryn Mawr, PA.

Mory Karimian has been a resident of Chattanooga since 1980. He has been a licensed insurance professional since July 1986 and has been licensed to sell mutual funds and variable annuities since 1990. Among his many involvements in civic and charitable organizations, Mr. Karimian has been a member of the Chattanooga Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees). He has also been very involved with the local River Valley chapter of the March of Dimes and served in many capacities on that board.

Mr. Karimian specializes in strategies for closely held businesses and estate conservation for small business owners and other key professionals.

The American College is the nation’s oldest and largest academically accredited educational institution devoted exclusively to financial services. Located on a 35-acre campus in Bryn Mawr, Penn., the College serves over 35,000 students predominately on a distance education basis. Candidates for the CLU designation must complete a minimum of eight courses and 16 hours of supervised examinations. They must also fulfill stringent experience and ethics requirements.

The College’s founder, University of Pennsylvania Professor Solomon S. Huebner, created the CLU program to meet the career education needs of men and women in life insurance and related financial services. Once the program is completed, a CLU can provide expert advice on a broad range of financial topics including life and health insurance, products and services for pension planning, insurance law, investments, products and services for financial and estate planning, and group benefits.
