Billy Braswell, 68, of Ooltewah, died Tuesday, March 14, 2006, in his home surrounded by his family and friends.
He was born in North Carolina, the son of the late Theatrice and Leamor Partin Braswell.
Billy served his country with the U.S. Air Force. He lived in Ooltewah for the past 30 years where he was a sheet metal mechanic with the Sheet Metal Union in Chattanooga.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Peggy Schrimpsher Braswell, of Ooltewah; one son, Bill (Glenda) Braswell; granddaughter, Amber Braswell; two sisters, Dot (Wayne) Tingen and Ruth (Bobby) Smith; one brother, Harold (Joyce) Braswell, all of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Billy will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. John Fields officiating. Burial will follow in Rhea Memory Gardens.
