Rambo, Octa Rosalie Pletcher (Rock Spring)

Octa Rosalie Pletcher Rambo, 87, Rock Spring, Ga., formerly of Zanesville, Ohio, died on Wednesday, October 1, 2008, at her residence following a lengthy illness.

Rosalie was born in Blue Rock Township, Ohio, on November 16, 1920. She was a homemaker and caregiver and was of the Jehovah’s Witness faith.

Rosalie was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Elsie (Mautz) Pletcher; four brothers, Paul, Robert, Fritz and Charles Pletcher; and two sisters, Rachel Mercer and Mary Bishard.

Survivors are her husband of 60 years, William Rambo; son, Raymond and his wife, Marilyn Douglas, Rock Spring; granddaughters, Teresa Munoz and Tina Hay, Rock Spring; great-grandchildren, Robert and Hannah Llewellyn, Rock Spring; brother, Ralph Pletcher, Zanesville, Ohio; sister, Eloise Childers-Olsen, Dunnellon, Fl.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, Roadrunner Blvd. and Highway 27 By-pass, LaFayette.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday at the Kingdom Hall.
