Hazel Gilreath, 79, of Chattanooga, died Wednesday morning, Oct. 20, 2010, at her home.
She was born July 6, 1931 in Loudon, Tn., to the late Johnny and Greta Ritchey and was preceded in death by her husband, Linton Leon Gilreath; and a sister, Lillian Ritchey.
Mrs. Gilreath was a member of Silverdale Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Anchor Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her sons, David (Charlotte) Gilreath and Michael (Debbie) Gilreath, four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, DeAnna Sandidge; and special friends of Amedisys Hospice; honorary grandson, Ben Danford.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct. 22, at 1 p.m. from the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Rev. Christian Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 21, and from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Silverdale Cumberland Presbyterian Church in honor of the Anchor Sunday School Class.
