United States Stove Company, America's oldest stove manufacturer based in South Pittsburg, Tn., has acquired Breckwell Hearth Products, a leading manufacturer of pellet, gas and wood-burning hearth appliances.

Headquartered in Arlington, Tex., Breckwell was founded in 1980 in Eugene, Ore., as National Steelcrafters of Oregon. Now with manufacturing operations in Arlington and Eugene, Breckwell is best known for its many innovations in pellet technology.

"Looking to considerably grow our hearth division, this acquisition fits our strategic plan of balancing our exposure along multiple distribution channels and growing our product offerings," said Calvin Haggard, US Stove CEO. "The Breckwell brand is exceptionally well respected in the marketplace and has a loyal following among hearth dealers, distributors and consumers."

Founded in 1869, United States Stove Company is a 142-year-old, family-owned company, now in its fourth generation of family management and ownership, led by Richard Rogers, chairman of the board and president. The company brands include Ashley, Hotblast, Wonderwood, Eco-Aire, HomComfort, Miracle Heat, Jensen, King, American Harvest, Logwood, Forester and Clayton.

The company will be exhibiting at the Hearth & Home Expo in Salt Lake City.
