Justin Holcomb To Speak At Covenant's Marriage, Family & Community Conference

  • Thursday, February 16, 2012

Covenant College will host its annual Marriage, Family & Community Conference Feb. 22-24, with Justin Holcomb speaking.

Mr. Holcomb is a pastor at Mars Hill Church, an adjunct professor at Reformed Theological Seminary, and executive director of the Resurgence, an organization committed to equipping Christians for ministry.

"Justin Holcomb offers sensitive, thoughtful, and powerful teaching on how the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ can bring healing and restoration to those who have suffered the pain of sexual abuse," said Covenant College Chaplain Aaron Messner.

"It is my hope that his teaching will not only be a healing balm for those who have suffered abuse in their own past, but also that it would equip our entire community to more faithfully minister the gospel of grace to a hurting world."

The schedule is as follows:

Wednesday, Feb. 22:

11 a.m., Chapel: Disgrace & Grace: Dealing with Sexual Assault

Thursday, Feb. 23:

11 a.m., Chapel: Hope & Healing: Part I
7 p.m., Brock Hall 118-120: Sexual Assault & the Bible

 Friday, Feb. 24:

11 a.m., Chapel: Hope & Healing: Part II

These events are free and open to the public. For more information, call 706 820-1560.
