Uneven Justice On Underage Booze

  • Tuesday, May 7, 2013

Eleven teenagers arrested on Signal Mountain for attending a beer party. All arrested for underage drinking being 18 years of age. What troubles me is just a few days ago there was a similar happening involving a Hamilton County deputy providing alcohol to some teens in the Explorer program. It was reported he was even in bed with one female with her mother present and the DA's office turned a blind eye to the violations.

I wonder if the parents of the teens in the latest happening decline for their teens to testify will the DA's office refuse to prosecute these offenses? I guess we will see if justice in Hamilton County has a level playing field. Apparently there was not an adult present at the party to be charged with contributing to the delinquency of minors. But what about the case of the Explorer sponsored events and the adult that furnished the booze?  Makes you have great faith in the justice system.
