Irene B. Goins, 89, of Chattanooga, died on Tuesday, September 10, 2013.
She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mamie McFarland Ballew. Irene was an alumna of Lee University and retired from the Tennessee Church of God State Office after 25 years of dedicated service. She was a devoted Church of God member for over 77 years and was currently a member of Brainerd Hills Church of God.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Rollie A. Goins, Sr.
Survivors include her sister, Laura Finnell; sister-in-law, Bobbie Jean Clayton; one niece; five nephews; special friends, Renee Henderson and Glenda Newell; several extended family members.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, at Brainerd Hills Church of God with Reverend Dwight Henderson and Reverend David Goins officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12, at the funeral home and from 12-1 p.m. on Friday at Brainerd Hills Church of God.
