The Chattanooga Technology Council CIO auction will be held on Nov. 13

The Chattanooga Technology Council will host the 3rd annual CIO Auction on Thursday, Nov. 13, from 6-9 p.m. at Loose Cannon, 1800 Rossville Ave.

The event is designed to allow technology solution providers, staffing firms and other IT-related vendors from across Tennessee and North Georgia to bid on chief information officers and information technology executives as a means of accelerating the sales cycle to in-demand companies and their leaders.

The concept originated in response to feedback from regional CIO’s who are highly sought after by a wide array of vendors but rarely have the time to commit to meet with them.  This event creates a direct audience and connection between the vendors and the IT executives.

The highest bidder is promised a minimum of a two hour meeting with the purchased CIO, who often includes their entire staff in the discussion.   Previous years events have produced new business relationships while helping the Chattanooga Technology Council raise money for their scholarship fund and programming.

The CIO receiving the highest bid of the evening is dubbed “The Big Cheese.”  Previous winners were Nick Coussoule from Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Tennessee and Kate Miller of Unum.  Both are returning for the auction this year and joining them on the bidding block are Sydney Crisp, also from Unum, Scarlett Farr from Siskin Rehabilitation Hospital, Knut Hilles from Volkswagen, David Johnson from EPB, Kristi Montgomery from Kenco Group and Laurene Vamprine from Erlanger Health System.

This event includes a buffet dinner and is the primary fundraiser for Chattanooga Technology Council.  Sponsorship opportunities are still available.  Corporate tables are $1,000 and individual tickets are $150.  Contact Jennifer Walker at 826-8700 or jwalker@chatc.org for more information.  Website:  www.cioauctionchattanooga.com
