Hamilton County EMS To Hold 18th Annual Awards Banquet On Thursday

Hamilton County EMS will hold its 18th annual Awards Banquet on Thursday, at 6 p.m. at The Chattanooga Choo-Choo (Imperial Ballroom).

At 7 p.m., awards will be given to the following:

Honorable Service Awards:

·         Years of Service:

·         Blue Ribbon of the Year

·         Military Award

·         Chief’s Award

·         First Responder Award

·         Medical and Trauma Call of the Year

·         2014 EMT of the Year

·         2014 Medic of the Year

Mayor Jim Coppinger, Director Tony Reavley, Chief Ken Wilkerson, and Deputy Chief John Combes, will present the “First Responder Award” to South Dade County Volunteer Fire Department firefighters, Matt Hill and James Canterbury. These two individuals will receive a special plaque for providing quick emergency care for a 27-year-old female who was ejected from her car on Interstate 24 on Nov. 12, 2013.
