Blakely Takes Choo-Choo Golf Lead

Former Ooltewah High and Birmingham-Southern College standout Nick Blakely took the lead Tuesday in the Choo-Choo Invitational at Council Fire.

Blakely shot 4-under 68 Tuesday and heads into Wednesday's final round with a two-shot lead over Matthew Mahle and Ben Wolcott.

Chattanooga's Neil Spitalny leads the senior division after shooting 70 Tuesday. He stands at 3-under 141 heading into the final round and has a two-shot lead over first-round leader Chris Hall.

Chattanooga's Tom Baird, Mitch Hufstetler and Richard Keene are tied for third at 149.
