COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – For the fourth time this season, the Tennessee Tech men's basketball team saw the future of its program honored as Golden Eagle guard Aleksa Jugovic captured his third adidas Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the Week award Sunday evening.

A native of Serbia, Jugovic, who prepped at Hamilton Heights Christian Academy in Chattanooga, led the Tech squad with a career-high 18 points at Morehead State, adding four assists in 27 minutes of play.

He connected on three of his four 3-point attempts and sunk a career-best seven free throws on eight attempts.

At Eastern Kentucky, Jugovic tallied 10 points and four more assists while playing a career-high 32 minutes. The freshman knocked down three more shots from beyond the arc and grabbed three rebounds. He also added two steals.

Jugovic took home OVC co-Freshman of the Week honors earlier this season after scoring a career-high 14 points on 4-of-6 shooting from beyond the arc against Southeastern Louisiana. He earned his second honors after a huge victory over UMKC in late December, leading the Golden Eagles with 27 minutes off the bench. He scored 11 points and dished out a career-high six assists.
