Frances Bratcher
Frances Maureen Phelps Norman Bratcher, 79, of Old Fort, Tennessee died on Thursday, March 19, 2015.
She had lived in the Flintstone and Lookout Mountain areas for most of her life and was a member of Freedom Fellowship in Cleveland, TN. She was previously employed with the state of Tennessee as a pre-school teacher for more than 21 years before retiring in 1994. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Phelps, mother, Beatrice Quiggins; husband, William "Bill" Bratcher; son, Angel Ramon Garcia, Jr.; three brothers, John, Marcus and Forrest Phelps and two sisters, JoAnn Phelps Hughes and Jeanette Phelps Vincent.
Survivors include her children, William David Garcia of Hanover, IN, Cynthia Evette Maria Garcia of Cleveland, Sherry Jolaine Norman Painter of Cleveland, and John DeForrest Norman of Flintstone; brother, Donald Quiggins of Stockbridge, GA; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Brother Frank Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the Payne's Chapel Cemetery on Lookout Mountain.
The family will receive friends from 5–9 p.m. on Saturday and prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
