Odessa Quinton Dixon, 67, of Dalton, Georgia, died on Friday, May 15, 2015 in Clearfield, PA.
She was born August 25, 1947 in Murray County, GA, a daughter of the late Tom and Maybell McGill Quinton; and was also preceded in death by her brothers, J.P. Quinton, Roosevelt Quinton and Junior Quinton.
She was a member of Gobler’s Knob Church of God.
She is survived by her husband, James Paul Dixon; daughters and son-in-law, Linda Borden of Dalton, GA, Lisa and Curtis Lynn of Cleveland, TN, Nichole Sanchez of Dalton, GA and Sandra Dixon of Dalton, GA; sons and daughter-in law, Phillip and Kim Fox of Dalton, GA, Christopher Willis of Houtzdale, PA and Greg Dixon of Dalton, GA; sister, Hazel Patterson of Chatsworth, GA; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Odessa Dixon will be held Thursday, May 21, at 1 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Keith Quinton officiating. Interment will follow at Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m.on Wednesday, May 20, and after 10 a.m. on Thursday, may 21 until the time of the service.
