Audi Chattanooga and Bowers Automotive Group sponsored hole 17 and the associated Hole-In-One Competition at the Metropolitan Ministries 2015 Annual Golf Tournament on May 11. Competing in a field of over 100 golfers, George Gannaway sunk a Hole-In-One, winning a new 2016 Audi A6. Ginny, his wife, has claimed co-ownership because she had recently given George his new golf clubs.

The tournament was held at Black Creek Golf Course and was sponsored by Metropolitan Ministries with major contributors Fletcher Bright Realty (Gold Level) and Blue Cross Blue Shield (Silver Level). Mr. Gannaway used his new six iron on the 155 yard hole. Having made three previous hole-in-ones, he was nevertheless stunned. “I could tell it was a good shot,” he said, “but I was surprised when it went in. Everyone yelled when I sank it and I just stood there dazed.”

Both retired, the Gannaways are comparative newlyweds and have already taken recent short trips in their new A6 to Birmingham and Atlanta to see their grandchildren graduate from high school. However, they are already planning a trip to the beach in July in their new car. Besides golf, Mr. Gannaway spends retirement raising hybrid daylilies.
