Monday’s Schedule

 

7-8s (AA) tournament - at Signal Mtn.

 

6:30 p.m. Signal Mtn. American (2-0) vs. Signal Mtn.

National (2-1)

(If Signal Mtn. National wins, then the two teams will play a second game for the title … both teams will advance to the state tournament)

 

9-10s (AAA) tournament - at Lookout Mtn. (Senter Field)

 

6 p.m.  Lookout Mountain (1-1) vs. Signal Mountain National (9-yr-olds) (1-1)

(Consolation Final: The loser is eliminated and the winner will play undefeated Signal Mtn. American (10-yr-olds) Tuesday at 6 p.m. … The winner of tonight’s game must beat SM American twice for the district championship … both teams will advance to the state tournament.)

Saturday
Game 1: Red Bank 6, Lookout Mountain 5 – Holden Davis starred for Red Bank at shortstop and at the plate in the win.

 

Sunday

Game 2:  Signal Mtn. American 10, Signal Mtn. National 4  - Pitcher Declan Goff had a triple and three RBI’s to lead Signal Mtn. American to victory.  (completed game which started Saturday)

 

Game 3:  Signal Mtn. National 14, Lookout Mtn. 12 – Signal Mtn. took a big lead early on extra base hits from Hudson Sveadas, James Hogue and Zach Isaac.  They held on to the lead late with a strong defensive game by pitcher Ben Dotson and third baseman William Barker.  Oliver Courdin had four hits Lookout Mountain.

 

Game 4:  Signal Mtn. American 11, Red Bank 6 – Third baseman Hugh Witherspoon made several good plays in the field, leading the Signal Mtn. defense.  First baseman Preston Cannon had a base clearing triple that put the game out of reach for SM.  Holden Davis, Eric Hill and Logan McGinnis starred for Red Bank.    

 

Game 5:  Signal Mtn. National 9, Red Bank 8.  Cruz “Missile” Miller hit a game winning two-run home run to give Signal Mtn. the victory.  Brayden Howard had three hits for Red Bank.

 

Note Worthy:  Signal Mountain National is the first 7-year-old team from the mountain ever to make the state tournament in District 6 AA.

Game 6:  Monday at 6:30 p.m. – District Championship: Signal Mtn. American (2-0) vs. Signal Mtn. National (2-1).

Saturday

Game 2: Lookout Mtn. 10, Signal Mtn. National 3

Game 3: Signal Mtn. American 4, Lookout Mtn. 1

Game 4: Signal Mtn. National 9, Red Bank 4

(Red Bank is eliminated)

 

Monday: 6 p.m. – Game 5 … Lookout Mtn. (1-1) vs. Signal Mtn. National (1-1)

(winner advances to district final on Tuesday)

 

Tuesday: 6 p.m. – Game 6 … Signal Mtn. American vs. Monday’s winner

(both team will advance to state tournament)

 

5-6s (A) at Signal Mtn.

 

Signal Mtn. defeated Greutli-Laager twice for the district title Friday night ... both teams will advance to the state tournament.
