Former Chattanooga State Tiger Earns Mid South Player Of The Year

Jade Gainer, former softball player at Chattanooga State, earned player of the year honors from the Mid South Conference for her play in the 2024 season.

Ms Gainer, now with the University of the Cumberlands, hit .436 in 47 games and leads the team in batting average along with hits (66), homers (7), runs batted in (51), slugging percentage (.732) and OPS (1.211). 

She also swiped 20 bases without being caught.

She is the second straight Patriot to be named player of the year, as her teammate Makenzie Keatts was the top player in 2023.
