In Agreement With Rep. Womick's Bill - And Response

  • Tuesday, August 4, 2015

I agree wholeheartedly with the bill by Rep. Womick that county clerks only marry couples of the opposite sex, but I doubt that the present Supreme Stupids would change the position of the court and fear that the time, energy and money spent to defend a legal action brought by the liberal supporters of the present state of the law would be for nothing.

There is a higher power to which  the members of the court will be required to answer on day in their future.

Charlie Rucker,

Conservatives are always screaming that they want the government run like a business. Fine. In the private sector, try going up to your boss and tell him that you are refusing to serve some of his customers (in this case taxpaying citizens) because you have religious convictions. See how fast you can be terminated for insubordination and refusal to perform work related responsibilities.

The clerks are there to process the marriage licenses, not to be the morality police.
