Elect Jim Bethune For East Ridge Council

  • Monday, November 7, 2016

East Ridge has two councilmembers vacating office this election year. First off, I would like to thank Mr. Marc Gravitt and Mr. Denny Manning for serving our community and the citizens of East Ridge. Best wishes to you both in your future endeavors.

There are several candidates running for these two position. Each with their own spin on responsibility, transparency and accountability. These qualities are definitely admiral and desirable but, repetitious in nature if you are familiar with any East Ridge election.

Every candidate, regardless of the race, has their own motivation and supporters driving them toward victory. I would encourage every citizen to look at the candidate’s financial disclosures filed with the Hamilton County Election Commission. A person can learn a lot by simply knowing who and what special interest groups are supporting a candidate.

As for me and my family, we are supporting Jim Bethune. Jim has a successful background as a businessman. And as such, knows how to work within a budget. He has hands on human resources experience and has been involved in many of the projects new to East Ridge.

Jim is a United States Air Force veteran, a family man and attends worship services every Sunday. He would literally give you the shirt off his back. He cares about the community and his neighbors.

This election is not only important on a national level, but locally as well. Please, if you haven’t, get out and vote tomorrow and remember my friend Jim Bethune will work tirelessly for you and the city of East Ridge.
