Led by defending champions McCracken (Ky.) HS girls and Baylor School boys, the 60th annual Chattanooga Rotary Prep Tennis starts today at 8:30 a.m. with singles matches in Divisions A & B at three sites – Baylor, McCallie and GPS.
Girls A: (at Baylor) Defending Rotary champs McCracken will be challenged by TSSAA state champs Baylor, who recently won the DecoTurf championship held in Chattanooga last month.
McCracken’s Michelle McKamey is the top seed among the No.1 players, while Baylor has the top seeds in the other five singles spots.
Boys A (at Baylor): Defending champion Baylor will be challenged by St.
Xavier (Ky.) and
Mountain Brooks (Ala.)
Each of these teams have two top seeds in singles, while St. X has two top seeds in doubles and
Mountain Brook has one.
