Helen Kuroki Named CHI Memorial Senior VP And CMO

CHI Memorial announces Helen Kuroki, M.D., has been named senior vice president and chief medical officer.  

"Dr. Kuroki is a visionary leader who will work with administrators, nursing and physicians to foster a unique environment that keeps the patient in the center of all decision-making," officials said.  

“Dr. Kuroki will lead our medical staff and healthcare system to optimize quality, safety, and the patient experience,” said Larry Schumacher, CEO, CHI Memorial, senior vice president, operations, East/Southeast division, Catholic Health Initiatives.

 “We are excited to welcome her as she leads this body of work in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of CHI Memorial.”

Dr. Kuroki comes to CHI Memorial from Riddle Memorial Hospital, Media, Pa., where she served as vice president of medical affairs.  Dr. Kuroki has more than 23 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology and was also a practicing physician providing full service Ob/Gyn care for approximately 50,000 women in and around Media, Pa.

Dr. Kuroki earned her medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine; served an internship and residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania; and completed a master’s in healthcare quality and safety at Thomas Jefferson University’s College of Population Health.  She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.
