Veta Iva Harris, 89, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017.
She was born on August 5, 1927 to the late Luther Albritton and Charlcie Hicks Albritton. Veta was a Licensed Practical Nurse, and took great pride in helping those in need. She was known for loving gardening, ceramics, quilting, and sewing. She was also an ordained minister in the Church of God, and was a member of the Mountain View Church of God. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reed Harris; her son Norman Harris; and her siblings, Adessa Theodocia (Albritton) Graig, Eldon John Albritton, Mammie Sue (Albritton) Beshears, Angie Dean (Albritton) Green and Mary Joyce (Albritton) Strickland.
She is survived by her son Anthony (Donna) Harris; grandchildren, Crystal Keck and Rebecca Harris; four great-grandchildren; and sisters, Brenda (Andy “Mickey”) Rymer and Star Burnette.
Visitation is planned from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, January 14, at Mountain View Church of God, located at 210 Roadway Drive SE.
A celebration of life service will follow the visitation at 3 p.m. at the church. Honorary Pallbearers will be David Cawood, Robbie Sherlin, Brian Scoggins, Steve Scoggins, Jeff Verner, and Gary Winner.
