Morning Pointe Seniors Make “Stampede” At Santa Parade

  • Thursday, November 9, 2017

Morning Pointe of Chattanooga at Shallowford residents found great joy as they participated in the annual Santa Arrival Parade at Hamilton Place Mall. The seniors at the assisted living community welcomed the big man in red to the Chattanooga area for the holiday season.

This year's theme "Toys on Parade" featured classic childhood favorites.

Morning Pointe residents and associates made quite the stampede as My Little Pony characters Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie, to the enjoyment of a crowd of all ages.

“The parade is one of our favorite ways to enjoy the beginning of the holiday season,” said Holly Holcomb, life enrichment director at Morning Pointe. “Each year, our residents have so much fun helping with the float and costumes, and we’re already thinking about fun ideas for next year.”

The event attracts more than a thousand guests, and Morning Pointe residents are never too old to enjoy the festivities as part of the life enrichment program.
