Dale Buchanan and Associates, a multi-state law firm headquartered in Chattanooga, has received the “Pro Patria Award” from the Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve State Committee.

The award is presented annually to a public sector employer in each state on behalf of the men and women of America’s reserve forces for outstanding service to the national defense through continuing support of the National Guard and reserve.

Accepting the award were Attorney Michael Buchanan, president of Dale Buchanan and Associates, and Air Force TSGT James Marr, managing attorney for the law firm.

Recipients have demonstrated the greatest support to Guard and Reserve employees through their leadership and practices, including adopting personnel policies that make it easier for employees to participate in the National Guard and Reserve. This is the highest level award that may be bestowed by an ESGR State Committee.  The firm is also among 30 finalists for the US Department of Defense’s highest employer award, the Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award.
