The Chattanooga Lookouts split Wednesday's double-header with the Biloxi Shuckers, winning the first game 3-1 and losing the second game 7-4.

Game one began in the top of the third inning in continuation of yesterday's suspended contest. Lookouts starting pitcher Fernando Romero began the resumed game today and came out strong, firing three straight scoreless innings.

Romero was great on the mound, but Lamonte Wade was the star of the first game. In the bottom of the fourth Wade smacked his first of two home runs to give the team the 1-0 lead.

After the Shuckers tied the game up in the sixth Wade struck again with another solo shot. Chattanooga scored one more in the eighth inning on a Dan Rohlfing sac fly.

Reliever John Curtiss came on in the eighth and only allowed one hit to clinch his first save of the year. Nick Gordon also had a good game one, going 3-for-4.

With the first game in the books the Lookouts set out to sweep the double-header. Their goal got off to a good start as they scored three runs in the third, highlighted by a Engelb Vielma two-run double.

Staked to a three-run lead, starter Nik Turley continued to deal. The right-hander sat down 15 of 18 batters and did not allow a run or a hit in his five innings of work.Turley has yet to allow a run this year and has 22 strikeouts.

In the top of the sixth Ryan Eades came on hoping to finish what Turley started, but was unable to do so as the Shuckers scored four runs in that frame to take a one run lead.

Chattanooga tied it back up in the bottom of the sixth, but it was not enough as Biloxi tacked on three in the top of the seventh.
