Last Thursday The Lady Must Have Smiled

  • Saturday, April 8, 2017

How refreshing and encouraging  it was after eight long years of apologizing for America's greatness, last Thursday, April  6, we had a president that told the world this country no longer bows to tyrants, but has the courage to stand against them, that red lines are no longer drawn just to be crossed and that America still values all human lives.

On that night the world took notice, and our enemies, for the first time in years, got a glimpse of a nation reminded of its belief in its people and all the people's inherent right to "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness".

I would liked to have been near the New York Harbor that night.  Somehow I feel that the lady standing there for a moment must have smiled, and the torch she is holding shown out a little brighter for the whole world to see.
