Sherry Nichols
Sherry Lynn Nichols, 58, of Dayton, died Thursday evening, November 15, 2018, at Grace Healthcare in Decatur.
She was born on Dec. 24, 1959, in Lexington, Ky., to the late Edward Newell Wilson and Barbara Jean (Jordan) Wilson.
Sherry lived in Dayton most of her life. She was a Rhea County High School graduate and a finance officer at Security Finance in Dayton. Sherry was an animal lover, she enjoyed reading, and especially spending time with her grandbabies. She was a member of the Sale Creek Church of God.
She is survived by her husband, Neal Nichols of Dayton; two sons, Aaron (Amanda) Gravett of Spring City and Ethan (Lyssa Wiles) Nichols of Nashville; daughter, Brook (Brian) Day of Dayton; eight grandchildren, Eden Gravett, Wyatt Gravett, Collin Gravett, Colton Wilson, Abby Gravett, Olivia Day, Lyla Day and Sam Day; brothers, Mark (Jackie) Wilson and Mike Wilson both of Dayton; sisters, Gretchen (Paul) Smithson of Summerville, GA and Kathy Wilson of Louisville, KY; and her beloved faithful companion Xena.
Funeral services for Sherry will be held on Sunday, at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Rusty Revis and Reverend Terry Bolton officiating. She will be laid to rest in Rhea Memory Gardens.

The family is being cared for by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive family and friends Sunday after noon.
