Clarence F. Pickett, 79, of Whitwell, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at his home, surrounded by family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy “Dot” Pickett; parents, James Fletcher & Nellie Irene Pickett; and sister, Lucille Higdon.
Mr. Pickett was a retired United States Air Force Veteran, serving 20 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Whitwell.
Those left to cherish his memories are two daughters, Teresa Thomas, of Whitwell and Tammy Johnson, of Hixson; grandchildren, Anthony Ogden, Rebecca Hodge, Stacey Thomas and Casey Thomas; four great-grandchildren, Serenity Thomas, Aiden & Parker Ogden and Georgina Thomas; sisters, Lenna French, of Whitwell, Elouise Johnson, of Dunlap and Adell Flaxcomb, of Ringgold; brother, Doyle Pickett, of Whitwell; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 14.
Funeral services will be at noon on Saturday, Dec. 15 in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Jerry Massey officiating. Interment at White Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that your expression of love be a donation to the White-Pickett Memorial Cemetery Fund in order to care for and maintain his final resting place. Military honors provided by the Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard.
