Jack Self
Jack Self, age 74, of Dalton, passed away Friday, December 14, 2018 at Hamilton Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Henrietta Self.
Jack was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He served as a missionary for the North American Mission Board and pastored for over 40 years. He also worked at Crossroads for 10 years helping kids.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dianne Bryan Self of Dalton; son and daughter-in-law, Torrey and Cindy Self of McDonald, Tn.; sister, Gail Self of Dalton; grandchildren, Carri and Collins; and nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday, Dec. 16, at 3 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Walker and Rev. George Ross officiating. Burial will be in Mill Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday at the funeral home from 12:30 p. m. until the service time at 3 p.m.
