William E. “Butch” Salmons, age 69, of Dalton, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018 at his home.
He was a 1967 graduate of Eastbrook High School. He was a spec-5 sgt. of the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William O. “Tex” Salmons and Gladys E. Fuller Salmons.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Beaver Salmons of Dalton; daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Rick Cobb of Dalton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathy and Chris Robison and Melissa Salmons and David Bowman, all of Dalton; grandchildren, Rica and Daniel Shepherd, Daniel and Brittany Cobb, Autumn Cobb and Celeste Cobb; great-grandchildren, Delilah Cobb, Judah Shepherd, Everly Cobb, Israel Cobb and Lottie Shepherd.
The memorial service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 4, at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Grover Hope officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, Dec. 3, from 4-8 p.m.
The family asked that flowers be omitted.
