St. Andrew’s-Sewanee Girls 1st, Boys 2nd At Track Tri-Meet

St. Andrew’s-Sewanee girls were first in a home track competition, while the St. Andrew's-Sewanee boys were second.

Franklin County High School and Cascade High School took part in the meet.

The final girls score was SAS 59, FC 27, and CHS 3. The boys score was FC 54, SAS 42, and CHS 6.

SAS had top three finishes in the following boys’ events: 800 2^nd senior Jack Simons (Sewanee, TN); 200 3^rd junior Davis Gill (South Pittsburg, TN); 400 2^nd sophomore Eli Andrews (Sewanee, TN); 100 3^rd Davis Gill; 110 Hurdles 2^nd senior Bailey McLean (Sewanee, TN); 300 Hurdles 2^nd Bailey McLean; 1600 3^rd freshman Michael Vaughn (Winchester, TN); 3200 1^st Eli Andrews; High Jump 1^st senior Emmanuel Thombs (Raleigh, NC); Shot Put 1^st junior Jalen Tillman (Parkville, MD), 2^nd senior Justin Elgouhary (Manchester, TN); Discus 2^nd Jalen Tillman, 3^rd Justin Elgouhary; and 4x100 1^st Emmanuel Thombs, Justin Elgouhary, Davis Gill, and freshman Curtis Gill (South Pittsburg, TN).

SAS had top three finishes in the following girls’ events: 1600 1^st junior Sophia Patterson (Sewanee, TN); 3200 1^st Sophia Patterson; 300 Hurdles 1^st sophomore Sarah Beth Hobby (South Pittsburg, TN); 400 2^nd freshman Sarah Grace Burns (Sewanee, TN), 3^rd sophomore Lucy Carroll (Sewanee, TN); 4x100 1^st Sarah Beth Hobby, Lucy Carroll, sophomore Nneka Okolo (Medina, TN), and Jayla McLaurin (Las Vegas, NV); 100 3^rd Nneka Okolo; 100 hurdles 1^st Sarah Grace Burns, 2^nd Jayla McLaurin; 800 1^st senior Lyndsey Wall (Winchester, TN); High Jump 1^st Sarah Grace Burns; Discus 1^st sophomore Isabelle Gordy (Sewanee, TN), 2^nd Sarah Beth Hobby; Shot Put 1^st Sarah Beth Hobby, 2^nd Isabelle Gordy.

The SAS teams’ next competition will be Regionals at Chattanooga Christian on May 8 for Field Events and the 3200. All other events will follow on Thursday, May 10.
