Elizabeth Sliger Sugita, 95, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 21, at her home in Ringgold.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Itola Sliger; and her brother, Robert Sliger, Jr.
She was born in north Chattanooga and graduated from Chattanooga High School in 1942. She was a very active member of the Second Presbyterian Church in downtown Chattanooga for more than 70 years, and was also an enthusiastic fan of the Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra for more than 60 years.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Yoshi Sugita, of Ringgold; and her relatives, Michelle and Steve Forgaty and their children, Alex, Brandon, and Mathew, of Nashville; Martha Crouse, Paul and Diann Crouse, Erin and Mike McGuire, of Atlanta; Debbie and Glenn Anderson, Autumn and Richard Boatwright, of Raleigh, NC; Jewell Anderson, of Savanna, Ga.; Jim and Mary Dunn, of Dandridge, Tn.; and Jim and Kim Dunn, of Flowery Branch, Ga.
Funeral services will be private.
