John Billups
John William Billups, Sr., 69, of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019, at his residence.
He attended Riverside High School and was a member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Geneva Billups; one sister; and six brothers.
Survivors include his sons, John (Kenisha) Billups, Jr., Fred Swanson, and Floyd Swanson, all of Chattanooga; daughters, Tonia Knox, Makahala Clemons, both of Chattanooga, and Miracle Johnson of Florida; 15 grandchildren; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
He will lie in state on Saturday, Jan. 19, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at noon at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Richard Jones as the eulogist.
Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
