Clifford Dozier
Clifford Lawrence Dozier, “Sleepy”, 68, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019, at his residence.
He was a 1969 graduate of Riverside High School. Clifford was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a welder by trade. Clifford was a member of East Third Street Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Addie Dozier; grandparents, Willie Mae Dozier, Lee Dozier, and Adline Johnson; brothers, Robert Dozier, Sr., DeWayne Dozier, and Gregory Dozier; wife, Labeniece Dozier.
Survivors include his sons, Michael (Tracee) Dozier and Timothy Vaughn, both of Chattanooga; daughters, Clesha Johnson of Chattanooga and Tiffany Humphrey (Dallas) Alexander of Huntsville, AL; sister, Theresa V. Kellum; uncles, Clifford Dozier and Eugene Dozier, all of Chattanooga; aunts, Mary Lou Knowles of Chickamauga, GA, Mary Dozier, and Gloria Dozier, both of Chattanooga; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Visitation is on Monday, Jan. 14, at 11 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at noon in the chapel with Brother John R. Taylor, Sr. as the eulogist. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
