Fannie Jones
Fannie Conyers Jones, 75, of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, in a local hospital.
She was of the Baptist faith. She was a member of Mt. Canaan Baptist Church. Fannie retired from Erlanger Medical Center after 28 years of service.
She was preceded in death by husband, Daniel Jones; mother, Louise Lovelady Sammons; fathers, Clarence O. Conyers, Sr. and JB Sammons: brothers, Paul and Charles Conyers.
Survivors include her daughter, Danielle (DeVilla) Tucker; brothers, Clarence O. Conyers Jr. and Joe L. Sammons, all of Chattanooga, Cary Conyers, and James (Pamela) Conyers, both of Dayton, OH; sisters, Susanne Conyers and Marjorie Gardner, both of Dayton, OH; god-daughters, Cherilyn Bryant and Stacey Bristol; god-son, Joseph Durrah; grandsons, Braylon and Jeremy Tucker; god-grandchildren, Michael Bryant, Terence Kelley, and Xavier Stanley; uncles; aunts; a host of dear friends, nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Fannie will lie in state on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
