As a sponsor of Cambridge Square’s sixth annual Oktoberfest event, Morning Pointe Senior Living and the Morning Pointe Foundation will have a strong presence at the festival. Morning Pointe corporate director of dining services, Mike Woods and a team of food service directors from local Morning Pointe communities will be honoring German food culture with Bavarian pretzels for the festival-goers. Their booth will boast a large cheeseburger display carved from a pumpkin purchased from one of the local farms that provides Chattanooga area Morning Pointe communities with fresh produce as part of the “Farm-to-Table” initiative.
Representatives from the Morning Pointe Foundation, including Executive Director Audra Hopkins, will also be on hand to give attendees additional information on the Foundation’s mission to provide nursing scholarships and caregiver support.
“We’re really excited to be able to come out and engage with the greater community, to really get to know the people we serve, and to tell them a little bit about the work we’re doing for nursing students and caregivers not just in Tennessee, but throughout the Southeast,” Ms. Hopkins said.
The Oktoberfest event will take place at Cambridge Square, a mixed-use community in Ooltewah, on Saturday from noon-9 p.m. The event is free, family friendly, and open to the public. There will be live music, local vendors and the fourth annual Lamar Johnson Classic barbeque competition.
