Jeffrey R. Powell
Jeffrey R. Powell, 64, of Chattanooga, died Sunday, October 20, 2019.
Jeffrey worked with the Chattanooga News Free Press in the news department covering political events. He also worked at Belks Department Store as a Polo specialist in the mens department.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jeff Powell, and his mother, Katherine Gibbs Powell.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Powell; one son, Nick (Molly) Powell; three grandchildren, Audry and Ethan Powell, and Drew Watson, one step-daughter, Stephanie Watson, and other extended family.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 2 p.m. in the Lane Funeral Home Chapel.
A visitation will be held Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m.
