Charlie James Blocker, 71, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 20, 2019, in Chattanooga.
Charlie was a graduate of Riverside High School class of 1967. He retired from Wheland Foundry after 26 years of service. He was later employed by Erlanger Hospital and retired after 12 years of service.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mozella Blocker; son, Antonio Blocker; sisters, Betty Johnson and Jeneva Allen; brothers Samuel Blocker and Willie Moon.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Betty Blocker; son Andre (Edana) Blocker; grandchildren, Chambria Blocker, Andre Blocker Jr. , Aidan Blocker, Abigail Blocker, and Aalynn Blocker; brothers, Curtis Blocker, Charles Blocker, and Ernest Blocker; sisters, Gwendolyn Blocker, Carnell Blocker, and Fannie Blocker; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A public viewing will be held 9 a.m.–1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 2, at the funeral home immediately followed by a 1:30 p.m. graveside service at Highland Cemetery.
