Donald Starr, 86, of Chattanooga, died Saturday, November 30, 2019.
Don was born to Luther J. Starr and Grace Heiskell Starr on Sept. 8, 1933. He graduated from Sweetwater High School and was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Athens Furniture Company and has lived in Chattanooga for the last 15 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Luther J. Starr, Jr.; and his sister, Frances Starr North.
He is survived by his sister, Ann Hunt, of Englewood; his brother-in-law, Don Hunt; and two nephews and a niece.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Athens, Tn. at 11 a.m., with Rev. Gary Graham officiating.
Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
