Alice May Perry of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, February 18, 2019. She was 69.
She was named for her grandmothers, Alice Perry and May Snyder, and was a beloved daughter of Joe and Lorna (Snyder) Perry, who all precede her in death.
She is survived by three brothers, Daniel Joe (Billie Ann) Perry, Glenn (Judy) Perry and Ben (Debbie) Perry; two sisters, Jeanne Perry (Michael) Kimsey, all of Chattanooga and Laurie Perry Vaughen of Nashville; 14 nieces and nephews and 10 great-nieces and nephews.
The family extends gratitude to the staff of Standifer Place for their care of Alice.
A family graveside service will be held at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Reverend Russ Maroon officiating. Alice’s nephews William Perry, Glenn Perry Jr., Timothy (Ty) Perry, John Kimsey, Richard Kimsey, and Jared Vaughen will serve as pallbearers.
Blind since birth, music was Alice’s joy. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the audio library and recording studio at the Chattanooga Public Library.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
