James Lane
James Kenneth “Kent” Lane, 79, a lifelong resident of McDonald, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2019, at his home, surrounded by loved ones.
Kent loved the outdoors and one of his favorite hobbies was coon hunting. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Lane; parents, W.T. Lane and Lizzie Lane; brothers, Elmer, Charles Thomas, Loyd and Arnold Lane; sisters, Rita Faye Lane, Mary Frances Lane, Martha Lane and Dorothy Bettis; step-sons, Dave and Rick Breeden; step-daughter, Pam McMullin.
Kent leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughter, Freda (Dewayne) Frazier; step-son: James (Karen) Breeden; grandchildren, Christie (Mark) Jenkins; Jason (Amy) Frazier; step-grandchildren, Emily Shelton, Hayley Marler, and Kachay Barrios; great grandchildren, Kiley Frazier, Dyllan Jenkins, Morgan Jenkins, Chandler Frazier, Ashlyn Williams and Nate Wynn; step-great grandchildren, Isreal Barrios and Delilah Blankenship; siblings, Teresa Holcomb, Betty (Jim) Nance and Leola Lane; special nephews, William (Faye) Lane and Steve (Charlene) Bettis, along with several more nieces, nephews and extended family.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March, 20, at Companion Funeral Home: Cleveland Chapel.
A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, March 21, at 2 p.m. with the interment to follow at Earls Cemetery in White Oak. Steve Taylor Will be officiating and pallbearers will be Steve Bettis, Roger Holcomb, Jason Frazier, Mark Jenkins, Dyllan Jenkins, and Robert Pack. Honorary pallbearers will be William Lane and Gerald Sherlin.
