Emmy Award-winning film and television producer, Richie Walls, will speak at an April 1 edition of "The Backlot" at Heritage House Arts & Civic Center.
The producer, known for his work on The Last Movie Star, with Burt Reynolds, as well as numerous TV shows, will be speaking on Monday at Heritage House Arts & Civic Center, 1428 Jenkins Road in East Brainerd.

Mr. Walls is currently producing SNL comedian Rob Schneider's next project for NETFLIX, as well as overseeing three other projects currently in pre-production and slated to be shot in the Volunteer State.
Mr. Walls will be flying in from Atlantic City, where he will be judging the Miss America Pageant over the weekend.
He will also be speaking about his upcoming acting workshop dealing with how to succeed at a cold read audition.
The workshop will be held in Chattanooga and is scheduled for Sunday, April 7.
About Richie Walls:
Richie Walls was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee and grew up in Bristol, Virginia, with his family eventually settling in Knoxville just in time for his high school years.
There and in college Richie excelled as a top Olympic cyclist, triathlete and runner for many of the top cycling, triathlon, and running teams -- brushing arms with such athletes as Greg LeMond and Lance Armstrong.
After one particular collegiate track meet, Richie was spotted at the local mall by an modeling agent, thus launching his career as he worked in New York, Miami, and Chicago doing both product modeling and acting.
Upon graduating college Mr. Walls was offered a position with a Knoxville agency, and subsequently worked for agencies in New York and Florida before moving to L.A in 2005 to become the Theatrical Director & Agency Director for Warning Models in Beverly Hills.
While in Los Angeles, Richie worked for a wide array of fashion clients -- booking such household names as RALPH LAUREN, MACY’S, ABERCROMBIE & FITCH, SKETCHERS, PAC-SUN, JUICY COUTURE, VOGUE, COSMOPOLITAN, MAXIM, L’OREAL, NIKE, ADIDAS, REEBOK, GAP, LACOSTE, and many other major brands.
In 2005 Mr. Walls made the decision to be a theatrical agent when HBO’s ENTOURAGE series started utilizing him to cast the many modeling roles the show required.
Mr. Walls' ENTOURAGE tenure eased him over from working in the field of fashion to that of theatrical booking -- and subsequently he booked shows and films such as HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, TRUE BLOOD, and MODERN FAMILY as well as multiple seasons of CSI, THE SOPRANOS, GREY'S ANATOMY, HOUSE, THE MENTALIST, 90210, CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM, COMMUNITY, and IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA.
Mr. Walls has also been instrumental in casting the soap operas DAYS OF OUR LIVES, THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS and ALL MY CHILDREN; as well as the feature films IRONMAN 2, FAST AND THE FURIOUS 4, and THE SOCIAL NETWORK.
