Emily Dotson
Mildred Emily Yarbrough Dotson, 88, of Chattanooga passed away on Saturday March 2, 2019.
She was a member of Spring Creek Road Baptist Church for nearly 50 years and was an avid bowler. Emily was an interior decorator, loved spending time with her family, watching her grandson play sports and was an avid UT Vol fan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Allen Dotson; brother, Bill Yarbrough; one sister, Naomi Kirby.
Survivors include her daughter, Lindy Dotson Hannah and her husband Scott; grandson Cade Dotson Hannah; two brothers, Richard Yarbrough and his wife, Louise and Garland Yarbrough and his wife, Delores; special cousin, Betty Hamilton and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of Life Care Center of East Ridge and her close cousin Betty Hamilton.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road with the Reverend James Julian officiating. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, and from 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
