Opal Tennessee Teas, 97, of East Ridge, passed away on March 4, 2019. Ms. Teas was of the Baptist faith.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul James Teas, Sr.; son, Paul James Teas, Jr.; brother, William “Bill” Hurley; sisters, Mary Hayes and Virginia Eaves; and daughter-in-law, Louise Teas.
Ms. Teas is survived by her son, Thomas Teas; six grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on March 7 at 3 p.m., with Rev. David Burkhart officiating. The family would like to receive friends from 1-3 p.m. on the same day of the service. A private burial will follow at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or Happinest Wildlife Rehabilitation & Rescue.
